No video (black screen)


Has anyone else run into this? Zoom recognizes when my camera is connected but shows only a black screen in place of the video. I don't remember exactly when this first happened, but I think it was sometime in March.

  • I've tried everything on this page - nothing worked. The other community pages I found that address this issue haven't helped either.
  • None of my other video software is having a problem with my camera.
  • I've also tried downgrading as far back as v 5.17.10 but the issue persisted.
  • Mac privacy settings allow camera access to Zoom.
  • Nothing looks remiss in my camera settings in Zoom.


I'm on a Mac and use an external camera (the internal camera was water damaged over a year ago, and I've been using this one ever since).


Any suggestions?
