When I enter zoom I have a "Failed to detect microphone" pop up. How do I fix this
2024-08-05 10:42 AM
I would like to emphasize this question. Ever since there was an update on the latest Zoom version end of last week, Zoom can no longer detect my advanced plugged in podcast/call mic. It's still showing in my computer settings, and I've restarted the whole computer and it still won't connect. I'm forced to used my subpar and hard to hear computer mic.
Can some one address this bug in the new launched version?
Also, can someone address how the new Zoom freezes for at least 1 minute EVERY TIME we now try to start a call. I have to now plan extra time for all calls to make sure I can show up on time because the Zoom meeting won't let me in while it's frozen and trying to load.
This new version seems really buggy.

I'm having the same problem here.
Got "Failed to detect microphone. Please make sure your microphone is properly connected" pop up.
Whether using built in mic or external mic, nothing seems to be working.
Meanwhile everything works just fine in all apps other than zoom.
I'm using Lenovo Ideapad 3 and running on windows 11 with Zoom ver 6.2.3 (47507).
Need some advices on how to fix this.
