Another account is using my cell phone number as their personal Zoom ID

Has anyone encountered this? I guess someone who owned my number before started using it as their ID and then didn't want to change it? I wonder if there's any way to find out who owns it, and if they're not a frequent Zoom user, or maybe don't use it all, possibly get them to give it up so I can use it?

Hi @amyjbelanger

Unfortunately, there is no way to find out and contact that user, as Zoom cannot share details of others without their consent.

Thank you, Bort. I hoped for a "miracle cure," but what you've said makes sense. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to fill me in.

I have the same issue, but I've had my phone number since 1995.  I had another account with a different email, but have deleted it.  And my phone number didn't appear anywhere in the account that i could find.  What would be the next course of action, do you think?
