Extron ZRTP Pro 1025t Controller app: 6.1.12 (3035)
Windows 10, 64bit Zoom Room app: 6.1.11 (4556)
We do not allow recording by default. The option to allow a client to record via the participant settings on the Zoom Controller is what we decided was best for our rooms. About two weeks ago, participants who are given permissions now only have the option to record to the cloud. Usually we will set them as a co-hosts and they can choose to record to the cloud or locally. All things appear to be the same except for the "Record locally to computer" option is now missing.
The settings to allow participants to record locally is enabled on the Zoom Room admin web settings and the same for the participant's app settings. If a participant hosts their own call by themselves, the option to record locally is there. So this appears to only be an issue within the Zoom Room hosted calls.

Hello @rwilhit2 – If the settings are in place from the portal but it's still missing in the controller, I would recommend updating to 6.2. I know there are a few bug fixes that comes with this newer version that might resolve this.

The controller has always had record to the cloud and never a local option. It is the participant's and their zoom interface that is missing the feature. Having that said, the next step is to update in about 30 minutes to test and see if a bug fix catches it.

ArvinG,
Both controller and Zoom Room app have been updated to 6.2. Unfortunately, the issue remains. I've went through the admin panel for this room (Settings > Meeting tab > Recording > "Record to computer Files") and enabled this setting along with the checkbox that allows Hosts to give permission to participants.
As another test, I have another Zoom room that is on older versions. All the same settings for this room match the other, but I can join my laptop to this room's meeting and the option to record locally is there.
Other test room versions:
Controller 6.1.11
Zoom Room App 6.1.5
Any thoughts? Thanks!

Thank you for doing the additional testing. My thought is that we next check these two:
But, it looks like you already did and it seems to just be isolated with this Zoom Room. I would suggest that you submit a Support Ticket so we can take a deeper look in to it.
