Zoom Meeting Spam

I frequently get meeting sign-up spam for both GoToWebinar and Zoom. The spam comes in saying that I've signed up for a meeting I've never heard of and have never signed up for. GoToWebinar has a link in their messages that says "Report Spam" which allows me to tell them the message is spam that I never signed up for. There is no such option in a Zoom message. It strikes me that Zoom should have a similar message in order to, if nothing else, track how the service is being (mis)used. My only choice is to either simply delete the message or cancel my registration for the meeting if I care to click through that link and suffer through another Zoom message saying the registration has been canceled. Please add a Report Spam option to your registration notices so, if nothing else, you can get an idea how your system is being misused. Thank you.

If you are getting SPAM email then most likely it is not originating from the Zoom software but is coming as a result of your email address being compromised from it being used in to or cc in emails (combined with malware on a recipients computer) or from malware on your computer. Invitations are just text copied in to an email and the link in the email may not even be a real meeting but a link to a malware site. Be very careful what you click.

Thank you. I understand and do all that. My point was that some other webinar software cares about how their system is being abused by allowing people to report spam meeting notices to them. If enough people report spam they can even cancel the meeting. Zoom has no such feature and thus appears to not care how its software is being abused.

i get these multiple times a week. they are coming from the real zoom and not a fake website. there is no way to find out who the organizer is and opting out does not prevent another one from being sent. I agree that zoom need a spam button. for now i will be marking all emails from zoom as spam.
