Zoom (5.17.11) No Longer Working on iPhone 6 Plus (iOS 12)

All:

I have been using Zoom (5.17.11) on iPhone 6 Plus (iOS 12) for some time, now. In January/February 2025, Zoom (5.17.11) would not allow me to join meetings without upgrading the iOS Zoom App. The problem is iPhone 6 Plus is already at its latest version (iOS 12) and the AppleStore requires a later iOS version to upgrade Zoom past version 5.17.11.

Any ideas if Zoom supports a backward compatibility option, for iPhone 6 Plus (iOS 12), without the ability to upgrade the iOS?

I asked the Host to enable Voice Dial-in Access, but they refuse stating organizational policy.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Kind Regards,

Gary

We highly recommend updating both your device and the Zoom application to the latest version, as Zoom continuously improves its features and security.

You can find more details on the update lifecycle here.

To ensure you have the best experience, we suggest regularly checking for updates within the Zoom app or visiting the Zoom Download Center. Staying up to date helps prevent issues and ensures you have the latest security and functionality enhancements. Older versions may be prone to bugs and vulnerabilities that have been resolved in newer releases.

Abinash09,

Did you even bother reading the original post? My iPhone 6 Plus is at its latest operating system (iOS 12) and cannot be upgraded further. Moreover, Zoom App versions higher than 5.17.11 will not install on iPhone 6 Plus.

As I am running the latest version of Zoom, supported by iPhone 6 Plus (iOS 12), and Zoom no longer works... Is there an alternative for connecting to Zoom Meetings via iPhone 6 Plus?

Regards,

Gary

Hi,

Did you check if zoom opens on the iphone 6 plus browser (on safari)?
