Hi, does anyone know how we can select a language channel from a Video system that uses SIP/H.323 to join a zoom meeting?
Thank you in advance.

Hi @Ricardoclavijo
It is not possible to utilize this feature through a SIP/H.323 connection. It is only possible to use it with the desktop or mobile Zoom app.

Hello Bort, I am reaching out to you as community champion for an issue we experienced in Zoom Interpretation today. The participants hear both the original (not the default original in background which can be muted) and the interpretation at the same loud sound level as if the original streams into the language channel. Any hints on the possible root causes? It is a hybrid meeting with connected resident room audio.

Not sure what the cause is. Can you provide more detail regarding what you mean by a hybrid meeting? It could be related to the setup you have.

We are also uncertain about the root cause, but we made sure it was not caused by sound leaks from the interpreters' headsets. We believe it is caused by sound mixing in the connected room, for instance by increasing the (slightly audible) original in the background in which case they may have to press 'Mute Original' if they wish to stream or feed the German channel in their meeting room but we only set up the Zoom Meeting for Language Interpretation, not the connected room. It is the first time that I hear an original audio with the same audio volume as the interpretation on the same language channel. Normally, this should not be possible when an active interpreter uses that channel by activating the microphone. If you believe it may be related to basic or advanced Zoom Meeting settings, do let me know what to verify in my Zoom portal settings, thank you.

I'm not aware of any settings that would resolve this, so I am thinking it has something to do with your hybrid setup.

Yes, that is what I suspect as there is no way to change this in Zoom settings. I disabled stereo in case they used this to amplify original sound in the mixing panel of the connected (hybrid) meeting room.
