Hey, @pacotoste.
If you are talking about viewing the Presenter View, with current and next slide images and the notes visible? I know a lot of folks do “read the notes” as if they were a script while presenting their slides.
This can be done – but requires practice and attention to detail. I wrote a guide for my presenters to follow here:
https://meetingsandwebinars.com/userguides/how-to-screen-share/
There’s a few tricks to making this work, and the steps outlined will get you there.
- Start PowerPoint first.
- Then start your PowerPoint Slide Show.
- Navigate back to Zoom (Alt Tab on Windows to find it)
- Click the green Share Screen button.
- Pick the Window with Presentation in the title.
- Click the blue Share button.
- Navigate back to your Presenters/Notes view and control your slides from there.
Practice, practice, practice until this becomes second nature to you, and you’ll be a professional presenter!!
But it looks like you don’t want people to see your slides. In that case, as long as you don’t start Screen Sharing, yes, you can watch PowerPoint and nobody else will see them.

Hi @pacotoste thank you for posting for the first time and welcome to the Zoom Community!
Zoom doesn't have a built-in teleprompter, but I'm sure you can use any computer-based teleprompter application to do so, alongside Zoom. You can also review our Marketplace for apps that can assist you with this. https://marketplace.zoom.us/
I hope this helps!

Carla A : thanks but my question is if I don’t click the share button, will the PowerPoint presentation that I will use to read as a teleprompter in my laptop be seen by other participants?
