If you are talking about viewing the Presenter View, with current and next slide images and the notes visible? I know a lot of folks do “read the notes” as if they were a script while presenting their slides.
This can be done – but requires practice and attention to detail. I wrote a guide for my presenters to follow here:

There’s a few tricks to making this work, and the steps outlined will get you there.
Practice, practice, practice until this becomes second nature to you, and you’ll be a professional presenter!!
But it looks like you don’t want people to see your slides. In that case, as long as you don’t start Screen Sharing, yes, you can watch PowerPoint and nobody else will see them.
