Can Zoom do something about the Low system resources error that pops up during meetings? It freezes video and affects audio and this very embarrassing during meetings. It's clearly an issue with zoom not PC. I have 16gb of RAM and a good fiber internet connection. Pls fix this.

RAM and 'good internet' are just a few small pieces of the puzzle and there is no reason to assume that Zoom is the main culprit without first gathering more information.

  1. Have you launched the statistics windows (Settings->Statistics) during a Zoom meeting before/during/after this message is present? Which resource seems to be the issue? Could be RAM, CPU, bandwidth, or something else.
  2. Having 16GB of RAM (not even a large amount in 2024) doesn't guarantee that your RAM isn't already allocated to other applications and processes. How much RAM does Zoom appear to be utilizing and how much total RAM is still available while Zoom is being used?
  3. Speed tests for internet are taken at a moment in time and do not account for dropouts and signal loss over extended periods of time. 'Good fiber internet connection' doesn't guarantee stability, protect against momentary interruptions, or inform us whether or not you're using wi-fi (irresponsible for real-time conferencing) or wired (responsible for real-time conferencing) connections.
  4. What version of Zoom are you running?
  5. Which OS are you running?
  6. When was the last time you rebooted? Do the issues survive a reboot?

oh Chidi, it should be so embarrassing.  As bstrlko say it include a lot of things which will affect the performance.  One of my experience I would like to share is about background tasks, I forogt it is a windows update or antivirus update but the task can't complete and occupied lots of HDD and CPU resources.  Another experience is Chrome, new Chrome use lots of RAM, you can observe, especially there are lots of tab opened, or extensions.  You can quickly identify the issue with Zoom Workplace \ Settings \ Statistics and find the bottleneck, you can see Overall, and also Audio or Video performance.  I will also use Windows Task Manager to see what other application using resources.
