On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

When watching a recording provided by my uni via a link, I am not given to option to enable captions, however the lecturer who uploaded the recording tells me that the CC button is visible for her when she clicks the same link from the same page as I would access. 

 

All captioning settings look to be active - is there something missing that needs to be enabled?

@KLM13 Could you please let them check, whether in Settings->Recording the toggle "Viewers can see the transcript" is activated?
Be aware that this only applies to new recordings, once activated. So, you would need to try it out with a new recording.

Under Settings, I only have General and Notification.  Not Recording. 

 

I want to record meeting to transcript.  How?

 

I'm using free Zoom version.

You’re not responding to my question and context. I am the person setting up the Zoom call. 

what I am saying is I don’t see the settings you identified. Under my Settings, I don’t have a Recordings selection. Only General and Notifications. Where is Recordings??
