Can't associate Zoom ap to Zoom call download

I recently updated the Zoom Windows app to the latest version. Now, when I try to run Zoom, I get an errormessage that the Zoom call download is not associated with the app. According to the "Setting" app, there is an association. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Zoom app, but I still have the problem. What's wrong, and how do I fix it? (Zoom works fine on my Android tablet.)

Evidently, something went haywire in Windows; a system rebuild solved the problem.
