Receiving Google Calendar invites for repeating events through zoom

Hi,

My team created an event for our weekly team meeting through Zoom (connected to Google Cal). Yesterday we added a new employee, and we all received 30+ emails about the meeting (one email per week until 2025). How can we stop this? We only want to have 1 email be sent with the updated employee and not have to receive a million emails for the recurring events.

Thanks in advance

Essentially you want to send bcc calendar invitations to each attendee of your recurring meeting so that only the incremental employee added receives the calendar invitation and not everyone on the call. You could set up a separate google calendar invitation for each attendee or if you want to automate this there is a Zoom app, Salepager, that lets you send calendar invitations for recurring Zoom meetings where only the updated attendee would receive an invite for the recurring meeting each time.
