Need a refund

I made a purchase last year because I wanted zoom calls to last longer. I didn’t see that I was signing up for a subscription and all of a sudden I see a charge on my card this year, April 4th for $163.75 I immediately contacted customer service and they did not promptly get back to me. So I reached out again and explained to them that I’m not using the service and I want a refund and they are refusing to give it to me. I find that completely unscrupulous. So I’m disputing it with my bamk

and my band said that it was already resolved, $163.75 back into my account. Don’t they realize that people will not want to do business with them if they keep acting like this? Especially since I reached out the day of the transaction. Anytime this has happened with any other company they immediately gave me a refund and didn’t give me any bs.

All companies have a different approach but ultimately the buyer responsibility falls on you by taking action in time before the damage is done. They are only sticking to their business by charging the card you entered on the agreed date, for the agreed amount. They do not know you are not aware of yourself purchasing a renewable subscription.

Hi @Dawn70 , our team has reviewed your support tickets, and we have escalated to the billing team. Thank you for your patience while they review.

I am having the same issue as well. We changed our account to the free version and somehow today is the renewal day and it charged our credit card one year pro version. They won't refund. I understand their policy, but it's literally the same day and I don't need the service and honestly experiencing financial hardship so the money is important for us to get back and needed.

Hi @dijon1 ,

Upon review I can see that you requested the cancellation after your subscription had already renewed. Based on Zoom’s Terms of Service, all subscription charges are non-refundable and your request was therefore denied by our team.

  • 12.2 Non-Cancelable and Non-Refundable Charges. You agree that all payments are non-cancelable for the Initial Subscription Term or the then-current Renewal Term, as applicable, and are final and non-refundable, unless otherwise agreed to by Zoom, required by Law, or set forth in your Order Form.

I understand that this is not the answer you were looking for but I still hope that I was able to provide some clarity.

Cheers,
Zoom Community Team
