On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Can I change the notification sound?

I see settings for when to receive notifications and whether to play a sound, but I don't see a setting to change what that sound is.  Right now it's just the generic system notification sound, but I'd like to change it to be something distinctive.

Hi Mike,

There are no sound options for chat notifications. This would be a great suggestion to offer as feedback!

I have been wanting to change the notification sound for when a participan joins the call. I know it can be because a coworker has a different sound. I just can't find the setting

@RDel1

I'm not sure if this is something admin controls. I searched my own profile and did not see sound options. Did you ask your coworker how they made the change? All I can offer are some Zoom Support articles:

I am searching for an answer as well. If nothing else that default sound has to live somewhere and could be swapped out with one I want to use. I have had no luck finding the location of that default file though.
