NDI Groups

I am trying to set up multiple Zoom Rooms with NDI cameras. Currently if I set this up, each room will have access to all of the cameras. What I need to be able to do is restrict each room to only see the cameras within that room.

NDI has the perfect settings for this. I can set each camera to be part of a group, and using NDI tools I can set each computer to only see devices in that group, but zoom rooms does not reflect the settings within NDI tools. It seemingly searches for all availble NDI inputs with no way to filter the list.

The only way I can get a camera to show up in Zoom Rooms is if I leave the group as public, which then leaves me back where I started where every room can see every camera. I know NDI inputs is still in beta, so maybe this will be implemented later, but is there a way for me to set the NDI group within Zoom Rooms? This would immediatley solve my problem. The only settings I can find in the web portal is to toggle NDI on or off entirely.

Great feature request - not currently possible. Please reach out to your Zoom team and/or Zoom support to get this feature request submitted formally for development's consideration. If you are able to provide the FR number, I am happy to jump on it as well.

One immediate solution is to employ subnetting for each room + NDI group.
In a single-NIC config, this would mean each room's subnet can access other devices on the subnet, as well as the internet (cuz, you know... Zoom!)

In a dual-NIC config, you could give one connection internet access and the other access to your private subnet for the NDI cameras that belong to that room. Just make sure the connection used for internet is unable to reach/discover any NDI cameras on other subnets.

Just to update anyone still looking for help on this issue; testing things now it seems that if you install NDI Tools on the PC running Zoom Rooms and use access manager to limit the groups it can see, this will now translate to Zoom Rooms. It's working for me at least.
