Zoom phone app does not connect to bluetooth headphones, all other apps do that perfectly

Please for details review this post - reddit.com/r/Zoom/comments/1gqbu1n/where_in_the_phone_app_i_can_manage_audio/

I use google pixel phone.

Where in the phone app I can manage audio settings - chose headphones? Only for zoom sound does not go to headphones, all other apps work perfectly

Context - My phone has Bluetooth on, and headphones are connected to it. Any other app I used automatically uses for audio these headphones, including other calling apps.

Zoom - I join a zoom call - by default headphones are not used for audio, sound just goes loud, when I click on the button you highlighted on screen shot, the sound goes silent and to listen in I need to put my phone to the ear, as when I speak on the phone. bluetooth device, in this case headphones are still not used.

Reinstalling app was already tried, did not solve it.

And I just no way can find such a crucial setting and impact is huge, I am not able to participate in criticall calls/meetings, so feeling very desparate

hi olgapetrvn,

Review Android Nearby device permissions for Bluetooth

If you are experiencing issues connecting to Bluetooth on an Android device, make sure that the speaker icon in a meeting is showing a Bluetooth logo.

If you see the Bluetooth logo within the speaker icon and your headphones still aren't working, consider changing the Nearby device permissions for the Zoom mobile app on your Android device. If it's still not connecting properly, delete the app storage, uninstall the Zoom mobile app, restart your phone, then reinstall the app.

Using Bluetooth headphones with Zoom

Did my response answer your question? If so, please don't forget to mark the reply as an accepted solution.

Not helpful. I explicitly told that I already tried uninstalling and installing again.
App settings are correct, nearby devices have always been allowed.

NEED A REAL SOLUTION.

Can someone clearly tell me and show on a screen show where in the Zoom phone app audio settings are present??? Where in the app I can configure it to use phone default audio output. Zoom is the only app failing to respect connected headphones, all other apps work perfectly

Advice in the comment from Elliot is not helpful, all of those things are checked/done in the past, did not resolve the issue.

I've been affected by this for over a year, but I don't use Zoom that much so hadn't given it much thought.

The way I manage to get audio going on bluetooth is to have the headset disconnected when I connect to a Zoom meeting. After connecting, I connect my bluetooth headset and Zoom will swap to it.

If I am connected to my bluetooth headset before the meeting, it'll make audio come out my phone's speakers and the button that would be the bluetooth button is just to mute and unmute the speakers.

I realise now that this thread is about Zoom Phone, not Zoom Meetings. But I can't edit or delete my response.

My issue was with Zoom Meetings.  Maybe they're similar, I'm not certain. Connecting bluetooth after starting is feasible in Zoom Meetings, but I doubt it's feasible in Zoom Phone.
