On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Zoom desk phone as a backup

Hi

We'd like a deskphone for use in a backroom ... to hear an incoming call and take the call from the front room (where the PC is located).

Zoom documentation states that common area phone limitations include Call handling rules based on business, closed, or holiday hours. If you require one of these features, consider using one of these workarounds:

  • Add a phone user and assign the desk phone to that user.

We've not yet bought the desk phone.

Is it easy for users to log in and out of deskphones? Would logging out of the deskphone also log the user out of their PC zoom app login?

Complicated!!!!

Thank you for any advice or suggestions.

Richard
