Any possible way to use Yealink T41S desk phones with Zoom phone?

We are in the process of switching over to Zoom phone and i would like to keep using our desk phones (Yealink T41S) if possible.

I however found out they are not in the list of compatible desk phones.

Is there maybe some way to get them to work?

@Yilmazer You are correct, the Yealink t41s is not a Zoom Phone Certified Hardware  so this will not work. I suggest that you invest in any of the Certified ones.

In addition, please note that some devices are already end-of-life (EOL): (but still works with Zoom Phone)

  • After the June 14, 2020 firmware upgrade, the following end-of-life (EOL) models are only allowed to use ZTP once: T29G, T41P, T42G, T46G, T48G, W56P.

I have a fee Yealink T41s working on Zoom Phone.  It is the same as a T42s (but was branded for Verizon).

Steps:

1) hold ok button for 10 second to get prompt to reset to factory settings.

2) Hit Menu - Settings - Advance settings, then login with with password "admin"  you type this by pressing {2,3,6, (4 key 3 times quickly), (6 key twice, ok button)}

3) in Advance Settings select Network - CDP and then OK.  Hit the "switch" option to disable this function.  Then hit "save". Then exit menu and phone will reboot

4) When phone reboots it should now have a valid IP number. To find it: press Menu - Status:

5) Use PC and browser to goto phone IP#:    Login with user: admin   Password: admin

6) on Top row Menu select "Settings" which is the 6th tab

7) on Left Menu select "Upgrade"  browse to the firmware file you download for the T42s from zoom at: https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0060242

😎 October of 2025 the firmware was Yealink_T4S_66.85.3.23.rom

10) While installing login to your Zoom account: In left menu slide down past "ADMIN" and select "Phone System Management", when menu expands, then click on "Phones & Devices"

11) in the "Phone System Management" -> "Phones & Devices" screen there are two tabs: click on "Assigned".

12) in the Assigned tab click on the "Add" button in the upper left under the tabs.

13) Enter the "Display Name", "Description", "Mac Address" (with no punctuation), Device Type is Yealink, Model: T42s, Assigned to: select which user this phone is for, Then hit the save button

14) The phone should be finishing updating.  Login to the phone from the PC again using User:admin  Password: admin

15) **optional step**:  I click on "Network" tab and select "Advanced" from left menu:  Then disable "LLDP", disable "DHCP VLAN", and make sure that "CDP" is still disabled (but it will be if you have a valid IP number). Press "confirm" button at bottom & wait for phone to reboot

16) Login to the phone from the PC again using User:admin  Password: admin, then select Tab "Settings" and select "Auto Provision" from left menu:  enter the provisional server from https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0063146 which was:

https://provyp.zoom.us/api/v2/pbx/provisioning/Yealink/t42s

and paste that server address into the field "Server URL" make sure Username and Password are blank and press the "confirm" button on bottom of page.

17) If phone doesn't reboot on its own.  Go into the phone's Menu: "Settings" - "Basic" - Reboot

18) After phone reboots and if not connected, then login with web browser and check to see if Seriver URL is correct

19) If still not correct Repeat the steps again and factory reset phone again to try again.  (One phone took 2 tries to get it working).
