hi @rizacb
get three or more bars of 5g signal strength on your android phone. in my las vegas, nevada location, a lot depends on how close you are to the mobile carrier's tower, the closer the better.
if you have access to WiFi, get as close to the router or access point as you can.
Did my response answer your question? If so, please don't forget to mark the reply as an accepted solution.
thanks, eliot

Same, now a days internet create issues.
2025-09-03 05:09 AM
Facing same issue since last 2 days, On Vivo phone i take online class everyday but since last two days as soon as zoom app is launched the internet connection gets lost, in fact the network detection at the top-right corner shows continuous detection and network lost. After closing zoom app and cleaning its cache the network gets stable and able to use internet smoothly through other apps like browser and youtube, but again with start of zoom app the same thing continue to happen. In short, its a reproduceable issue on my Vivo phone. Looks like there is some recent buggy update in zoom app causing this issue.

This is for my Vivo phone too. And unfortunately, not a lot of people facing this issue. But i found a work around.
1. Uninstall Zoom app from phone
2. If you are logged in to zoom through a web browser, log off.
3. Click on your meeting
4. On the page, it would show you to join meeting button. Also would show you an option to download through play store. Next to it would be a direct download link. This downloads apk from zoom's website.
4. Install and log in
5. Problem fixed.
The issue seems to be in the apk released on play store. Do check play store in a few days if new version solves this problem.

Thanks for your response, tried but the version outside of play store is outdated and as soon as zoom is started, it ask for upgrade (no option to skip upgrade) and once upgraded, the problem persist as it is.

Same issue here. I tested previous versions. 6.5.9 is unaffected. 6.5.10 and onwards are affected. 6.5.10 was released around Aug 18th, 2025. I have a Redmi Note 10s on android 13

Rahul, what version of Android is running on your phone? Who is your cellular service provider?
2025-09-23 02:40 PM
Android Version 13, with Airtel as Cellular provider...cellular provider is not an issue as i tried with Vi and Jio both alternate options available in India.
2025-09-16 04:56 AM
Same issue as RahulG and Veekar22.
Issue started with Zoom Workplace app version 6.5.10. 6.5.11 and 6.5.12 are also affected.
Downgrading to 6.5.9 fixes the issue for me.
The issue: opening Zoom completely kills 4g connectivity. After a few seconds of a flashing 4g symbol at the top right, the 4g connection is lost and a phone restart is required to fix the 4g network. My guess is some functionality related to network probing has changed since version 6.5.10, which causes 4g connectivity to crash.
My phone is a Redmi note 10s on Android 13 for the records.

Rizacb, I'm sorry you weren't able to get connected. I want to help troubleshoot this. What version of Android is running on your phone? Who is your cellular service provider?
2025-09-25 05:23 AM
Hi @rizacb, sorry to hear you ran into this right before your interview—that’s stressful!
A few things you can try on your Android device:
Update Zoom app from the Play Store to make sure you’re on the latest version.
Clear Zoom app cache/data (Settings > Apps > Zoom > Storage).
Check if the issue happens only on mobile data—try connecting with Wi-Fi to compare.
If mobile data drops only when Zoom starts, try toggling “Use less data” in Zoom’s settings.
Restart your phone and, if possible, test with a different SIM card or hotspot to rule out network-specific issues.
Make sure background apps (like VPN or battery/data saver) aren’t interfering.
If the issue continues, reinstalling Zoom or reaching out to your mobile provider might help. Since you have an interview coming up, I’d also recommend testing a day before with the same setup you’ll use on Monday.
Hope this helps and best of luck with your interview! 🍀
