If you have a Mac - I had this issue for ages and was unable to resolve it. I finally did a little more looking, and found this StackExchange post that suggested uninstalling Zoom by using their uninstall file instead of putting the Application in the trash.

https://superuser.com/questions/1671647/zoom-on-macos-catalina-hangs-on-connecting-gets-error-unable...

I did this by going to Applications -> right clicking on zoom.us -> Show package contents -> open Contents -> open Frameworks -> use the ZoomUninstaller file.

After this, I reinstalled and it successfully worked.

FYI @Poonam @SBZ @Gunni @earthclod in case any of you are still hitting this issue.

old thread, but the same problem is still active.

situation

M1 MacBook Pro with 14.7.5, zoom 6.4.6

-> no connection via Wifi with zoom.app possible. Connection via browser working without problems.

-> connection through EtherNet works

another MacBook Pro (Intel) with 14.7.5 and zoom 6.4.6, connected to the same Wifi AP can connect with the zoom.app.

I uninstalled zoom via Applications/zoom.us/Contents/Frameworks/zoomuninstaller.app, rebooted, reinstalled

uninstalled from the zoom.us-menu, restarted, reinstalled, no change. Other user account, no change....

no Firewall active on the machine and as it is using the same Wifi AP as the other machine, the network can't be the problem. Every other application can use this Wifi network without problems.

I even tried the Intel package of zoom.us on the M1 Mac, no success.

So it seems to be a problem with the zoom.app on Apple Silicon machines using the Wifi network connection. The app has no network connection, as even the check for updates isn't working.

I ended up clearing my cache... it has somethung  in there that caused it not to use the update.. I think. I have to use chrome because of where I work. But safari didn't work either . So I cleared both cache and it has been functioning properly

I have been unable to use the Zoom client on my MacBook Pro since the May update.

Zoom seems to install without any problems. When I launch the client and log in I get the message Zoom is unable to connect.

I have repeatedly tried to uninstall the app using the method described here (using the Zoom Uninstall app)

My network connection is fine. I can use Zoom on my Apple iPad.

I have cleared the caches, tried on different browsers, talked to a support person who said it was my wifi card (nope)

Just tried to install the latest Zoom version. Doesn't work.

Google Meet is looking better and better every day I'm unable to run Zoom.
