where to turn off auto record in settings?

I turned on the "auto record" feature for 1 week because I didn't want to forget to record during important meetings.

But it turned out I didn't want it to record as soon as I started to log in.  I want to record when I am ready and when I want to record.

 

However, I could not remember WHERE to turn this switch back to OFF.

Can any one here help me?

I have combed through the Settings at least four times, and I have not seen anything related to Auto Record.

There are personal settings for this > Settings > recording >Automatic Recording

and there are Account settings (company) >
Account Management > Account settings > Recording and transcript > Automatic Recording

Hi

Login into Zoom Web portal and go to > settings > recording >Click the Automatic recording toggle to enable or disable it

Hi Calvo,

Thank you for answering my question.

However, the settings are different from what is shown in the article.

I have tried following the steps, to make sure I DISABLE the AUTORECORDING.

I even reboot the computer, it still record as soon as I login to zoom.

I did it at least 3 times, the same result.  It will record automatically even the button is off in Auto Recording.

Can you look at your end to see what else I missed?

 

I don't know which version of zoom app I have.  It's the latest zoom Worksplace on my PC.

I have done this so many times I could scream.  It does not work!

Exactly the same problem I  am having and getting very frustrated as this is not great for those who do NOT give there consent for recordings to be made as it switches on automatically.  I have done all the things in settings and it persists.

A reboot does not help.  Can a tech person do something about this so that we can use Zoom confidently and professionally?

Hi BJoy, I had tried countless times and could not make it not record automatically.   I even filed a bug report to zoom.  Can you do the same?

Now, my work around is to stop recording immediately and delete the file afterwards.   Unless Zoom see this as a bug, they probably won't fix it.

The more people report it as a bug, the faster they see it as an issue. 

Same problem and no help!

Hi guys,

what version of zoom workspace are you using?
There are personal settings for this > Settings > recording >Automatic Recording

and there are Account settings (company) >
Account Management > Account settings > Recording and transcript > Automatic Recording

If the change of this settings does not work it woul be the best to open a support case as this looks like an isolated issue for you both.
