can't share screen

After Ventura OS update on MacbookPro, can't share screen. Instructions on zoom and online don't  deal with my system pref screens. I don't have a 'lock' to unlock on Security & Privacy for example. It is in list format not icons, also. I see nowhere to obtain screen share but this is where I am told to go. I have hit 'share' in a few places in system preferences but no go. I get a window wanting zoom access to all my documents. Why? I don't want my meetings recorded but am I required to check yes to that? These are 2 options that have popped up as I search sys prefs. Help, please. My MBP is a 2020. Just uploaded Ventura a couple weeks ago.

And I am not sure I will be able to find where this was posted.
