Zoom crashed while covering recording file to be saved on my desktop

I just recorded an important interview. I ended the call. Zoom started converting the recording as it usually does and then  it was almost done converting and crashed. Now I can't find it in my recording trash, under my recordings, or in my computer trash. Does this mean that interview recording is gone forever? Is it better to just always save on iCloud now?

I just had the same thing happen. Hoping there is a way to solve this and retrieve it as it was an important meeting.
