Hello,
My Zoom desktop client repeatedly freezes/hangs during meetings. It happens even when my camera is off — typically while others share screen or have video on. This seriously affects my work; please advise exact steps to diagnose/fix.
Environment & symptoms
Zoom desktop version: 6.5.5 and several previous versions.
OS: Windows 11.
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT with 25.10.30 Adrenaline drivers.
I reproduced the freeze reliably during screen sharing sessions or when participants have video; sometimes it happens even when no cameras are active.
Browser-based Google Meet work fine on the same machine.
What I already tried
Toggled hardware acceleration options (on/off).
Launched Zoom with various flags:
--use-angle=gl,
--enable-features=Va api Video Decoder,
--disable-features=Va api Video Decoder,
--disable-gpu-driver-bug-workarounds, etc.
Disabled all Adrenalin overlays/recording features and Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling in Windows.
Any workarounds you advise other than switching to browser client/mobile application?

It was officially downloaded by the Adrenalin software, so it's not the case.
I was testing different app settings and so far those are works fine:
Video render method - Direct3D11
Video rendering post-processing - Disable
Performance is turned on
All the accelerations turned on
I had no freezes for a several days, but still keeping eye on it.
I'm pretty sure that when rendering method was Auto Zoom did it wrong.

Not sure where you got the GPU drivers from. AMD says latest driver released 10-29-2025 is Adrenalin 25.10.2 (WHQL Recommended)
If this works please click accept as a solution.
