I am a Mac User. Today the Timer App stopped working. I get a black screen when I click on the Timer App. I have already uninstalled and installed my Zoom App, I have also done the same with the Timer App. I have also updated my Zoom, still the problem persists. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Hello @takuma – It seems to be working on my side so I'm not sure why you only see a black screen. Can you confirm that the following requirements are met? If so, you can also submit a Support Ticket.

My zoom version is Version: 6.2.11, previously the timer app was working perfectly fine until yesterday.

The zoom timer is not working. I have checked the requirements to run the app, as well as my computer settings. It looks to be a compatibility issue between my computer and the timer app. I hope that the issue will be resolved soon.

I am having the identical issue. Black screen. That it "appeared to be working " on his end was a ridiculous remark. We aren't here to get his timer working.
Oddly, I have a separate free basic acount. It appears to be working there. Why not here?

Yes, exactly. I haven’t been able to solve the issue, so I am now using a third-party timer app. I just hope zoom will be able to solve this issue soon. It seems that a lot of users are experiencing the same problem.

Same issue.
Zoom Version 6.2.11
MacBookAir
Mac OS 12.7.6
In meeting, timer loads but presents a black box. No UI or timer controls. Nothing. Timer is listed as the active app. Can be refreshed. To another black box.
Sometimes it loads for half a second and is gone. More of a flash.
Updated MacOS. Updated Zoom. Wiped Zoom from HD including all preferences and files from Library. Fresh install using latest Zoom version. Problem persists.
Hopes this helps...

No. Maybe they’re too busy. I’ve kind of given up.

Thanks so much it's fixed! Is there a way to change the design - it's really ugly now and kind of distracting. I liked the simple circle with thin text, it didn't feel so in your face while someone is talking. Are there design settings I can change?

I cannot get the timer to connect with zoom. I have downloaded the zoom timer app to my computer but cannot get it onto the zoom platform. How do I do that?

It sounds like there may be a compatibility issue or a permissions conflict causing the Timer App to display a black screen. First, check the Timer App’s permissions in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy and ensure it has access to the necessary features like Screen Recording. If the issue persists, try clearing the Timer App's cache or preferences by locating its support files in the Library folder and removing them (ensure you back up important data). Additionally, verify that your macOS is up to date, as outdated software can sometimes cause such problems. If none of these steps work, consider reaching out to the Timer App's support team for further assistance.

Manav Gangwani
