If I am the host, and attendee requests recording of the session and I accept, and recording starts for that session, after the session where does that recording go? As host it is not in my cloud or local storage - does it get shared with the attendee? Thanks for any feedback!

Hello,
Cloud recordings always go to the host's Zoom cloud storage regardless of who presses record.
Local recordings go to the hard drive of the person who presses record.
Regards.

Thank you and understand what you mean, however, unfortunately, there is no recording of that session in my cloud storage - perhaps its something I need to enable....? But either way, the recording of the session was initiated as the red 'record' light was on....so there should be a copy of it somewhere, just don't know where.

Free accounts do not have cloud storage. Do you have a paid account?

@Frank_TB I'm having the same issue. A participant must have selected to record to local workstation and I did see a popup but was doing other work at the same time so inadvertently pressed the button without reading who or what they were doing. There were over 200 people on my call so how can I find out who requested and recorded to their local workstation?

yes, I do thanks. Have other recordings in my cloud storage account, but not that one. Thanks for responding

@gvlismas It's possible that the attendee requested to record it locally, which will be recorded on the attendee's computer. @Jkirch777 Unfortunately, Zoom does not display which attendee requested to record the meeting. You may submit a ticket to our technical team to check if it was locally recorded, and if they are under the same account as you, they can provide the username.
