Virtual background chose is not turning on in spite of following directions

I mistakenly turned off Virtual Backgrounds for meeting.   I read the instructions for how to turn it on again--Account Management- Meetings(Advanced)  and did what was told--but still don't have Virtual Backgrounds turned back on so I can upload my custom background.

Hi @cynthiaham, thank you for posting for the first time and welcome to the Zoom Community!

 

Can you try the following:

1. Open your Zoom desktop client

2. Click on your profile avatar/image in the top right-hand corner

3. Select Settings 

4. Go to Background & Effects and add the virtual background of your choosing.

5. Try testing in a meeting and make sure you have your camera turned on.

I've tried this but when I click on my avatar all I see is (1) plans and billing and (2) sign out. What am I missing?

Just to confirm, are you signing in via a web browser or the Zoom application on your desktop? The steps I sent you above are for the Zoom application not via the web portal zoom.us.
