Troubles with virtual video background says too big, yet it's not

I bought a Zoom background package from a reputable seller on Etsy.  It had both video and still Zoom backgrounds which were really nice.  However when I tried to upload the video backgrounds I would get an error message saying the exceeds the maximum allowed resolution of 1280x720 px. Please upload a different file.  Yet when I check the file properties, it is the correct resolution: 1280x720 px.  I contacted the seller and they said they have sold a lot of these and no one has had a problem.  They suggested updating my Zoom, which I did, but it didn't fix the problem.  They are willing to give me a refund, but still, I would love to figure this out!

Can any one help?

Most likely your issue is related to your device and OS (which you did not provide). Using windows 11 on a desktop with Zoom ver. 6.4.12 I just successfully loaded a PNG file that is 5656 x3930 and Zoom adjusted it to fit.

If this works please click accept as a solution.

Hi Storyhub-

I am using a PC with windows 11 Home edition.  My issue is that I am seeking to add a VIDEO virtual background using a MP4 file with the 1920x1020 px dimensions that is 6 seconds in length.  I am not sure why it doesn't work.  In fact none of the MP4 files I purchased work, but the still do.  The seller insists I am the only person who has had any difficulty and they will happily refund me if I cannot find a solution.  Naturally, I'd love to figure out what's the issue.

I figured out the problem and the solution.  Zoom needs video files to be smaller: Not 1920x1020px (might work for stills but not video) and instead 1280x720px.  Once I took the sellers MP4's and put them in Canva and converted the dimesions to that, it worked.  So it seems what the internet thinks are the dimensions, are not what Zoom says are the dimensions in their error message.
