A client called today to complain that on his Mac, his zoom desktop no longer sends meeting invitations. I am not a mac user, but from my work in Zoom on Windows, when scheduling a meeting, if Outlook is configured it will open the Send meeting invite and you can then enter the recipients.
On mac all I can get it to do is add the meeting to the outlook calendar, or with apple mail configured, I can add the meeting to the icloud calendar, but not invitation is actually sent.
What am I doing wrong? Is this really possible on mac desktop zoom client?
Thank you!

Having the same issue and appears that I can solve it by going into ical, clicking the calendar event and resending from there. This is not ideal and should be more seamless

Have had this same issue over and over again. The Zoom Client for mac indicated - or appears to indicate - that it is sending invitations to the participants whose email addresses are listed. However, no invitation is ever sent. Invitations can be sent manually, but what's the point of a Client if it won't send invitations?

I do not use google, exchange and 365 as my email link. I use mac.mail. I start an impromptu new meeting, and I click on participants and it asked to invite and what email service. I click on default and it uses my contacts and the invite is received. Why there not a default options for service in your process to set up using default?

Hello @Unfriendly! Kindly make sure that your Zoom app version is updated. You can go to your web profile > settings > mail & calendar. Under calendar & contact integration, click edit > choose Apple iCloud.

Your step by step is all well and good. But these steps are useless for anyone using macOS clients, including Contacts and Calendar. One would think that Zoom would support macOS apps since it has a macOS desktop client.

I agree, there is no iMac calendar in the above steps. What now?

I agree, most of my clients don't get my invites on MacOS and I have to copy and send to their email address - very tedious and unprofessional. Any solution to this Zoom?

Creating a meeting in the Desktop client doesn't automatically trigger an invite by default. You could copy and paste the invite to your email client in order to send the invite that way. If you want to avoid this you can schedule directly in your email calendar or use a Zoom app, Salepager, that lets you schedule and send Zoom calendar invitations without needing to copy and paste.

We have several staff members that are also having this issue.
