Revert to Old Version of Zoom

Is this possible? This new update is horrible for my productivity. The drop down for dates and times versus tabbing through them and typing is not what I want, and it no longer connects to my iCal like it used to, making me have to manually add every single meeting to my calendar. Can I just go back to the last version? Or is there a setting to revert these changes? Driving me crazy.

I totally agree. I really hope Zoom might offer the option of the dropdown meeting duration rather than having to set the finish date and time. And while they're at it, to fix the date format so it doesn't just show in US format (grrr).

You can download older versions of Zoom meetings here for Windows:  https://zoom-us-zoom.en.uptodown.com/windows/versions  and here for Mac: https://zoom.en.uptodown.com/mac/versions

I believe Zoom changed the Schedule meeting window format from version 5.12, so you'll have to revert to 5.11.11.  I've not yet downgraded my wife's Mac Zom app, so I'm not sure if you can just install on top of the newer version or if you'll have to uninstall the newer app first.  However, it was just a question of clicking the install file and it worked for Windows.

    Hope that helps.

In the navigation panel, click Room Management then Zoom Rooms. Click the Devices tab. Select Downgrade Zoom Rooms. Click Downgrade to confirm.

I found "zoom rooms" but don't see an option to downgrade! Help please. I can no longer use Zoom after I upgraded to 5.13.3. I have an older Lenovo desktop, I guess it can't  handle the newer version. Thanks.

You're the man! This completely fixed it without a need to uninstall the newer version. And it was indeed 5.11.11. Thank you so much--lifesaver!!

Agreed. The update happened this morning. It is not as practical as it used to be with so many disruptive features. Is it possible to go back to the classic version?

I can't use the uptodown versions as I get the pop up notification saying" you need to download the 5.17.5 version or higher to sign in. Anyone has any idea how to solve this issue:( I really need to download the older version

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @Ayna! I'm afraid 5.17.5 is now the minimum global version for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, and Intune. You can check out this article for more information.

So, what about all of your upset customers that do not want workplace? Is Zoom paying attention and hearing us at all? We found a way to keep us happy, and Zoom came along and nailed the door shut. PLEASE offer a standalone version again. i don't want yet another suite with useless crap on it and that doesn't apply to me. And I'm not changing from my current suite for it. I was loyal to Zoom and kept the video meetings there, even though it comes with other suites we have. But now my whole reason for doing that is gone. Zoom did it to compete with suites that were taking business from them, I'm sure. But now they're losing business that doesn't want a suite. It's a simple fix. Just add the old version to the server and and make them independent of one another.

Our organization has been unable to use Zoom Workplace for our last 2 monthly meetings.  At first I thought the problem was that the Meeting Owl had problems.  But after buying a new USB cable and testing the Owl with the Windows Camera App, the Owl and its cable are working fine.  The problem is with Zoom.  I just uninstalled Zoom Workplace and am hoping to find a way to download and install Zoom 1.  If anyone from Zoom sees this please listen to your customers and make the old versions workable.  Zoom used to work GREAT, but not now, at least for me (and it sounds like others also have problems with Workplace).

AGREED! I'm so sick and tired of this. I can't seem to kick Zoom out of my emails now. If I do a zoom meeting, i get a window for email thru Zoom. I do not WANT zoom in my email account. You would think they would listen to their long time customers that made them the success they became and are now destroying. Now, they are just another company cramming something down my throat that I do not want. So now, I'm calling them a SUCKcessful company.

The new version is absolute f****** bloatware. Truly awful.

I can't even add a meeting to my Apple Calendar anymore. Who coded this garbage? Some AI bot?
