On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

My microphone does not work on my webcam.

To whom it may concern,

 

My volume has gone mute when I tried to do a Zoom meeting. Could someone please help sort out my volume on my Zoom meeting with my webcam please?

Here are the steps I would perform. 

  1. Update Zoom client
  2. Unplug and plug in your web camera (if external camera)
  3. Start a new meeting. No need to invite anyone.
  4. Click the up arrow by  Mute (see image attached)
  5. Make sure your web camera is listed as speaker and mic
  6. Run a test. You will hear audio and have to speak, and it will play your recording back to you
