At this time, external cameras are not officially supported in Zoom for iPad - this very well may change in the future. While iOS/Facetime may already support external video peripherals, this functionality also has to be implemented at the app level.
Please submit a formal feature request via Zoom Support to get some development traction behind this! The more that a feature is requested by users, the more likely Zoom is to implement it in the future.

OK so I'm trying to get a room full of people I don't know if the iPad mini 6 camera can get a full room of people and I know how to connect it to the TV but I also need to figure out how to get it to charge at the same time as it's connected to the TV I have a adapter with USB c ports but it doesn't charge when I plug it in when connected to the TV

Do you have the exact model of the adapter you're using?

The Apple OEM adapter will work - not to say that all others won't, but the Apple-certified one is specifically built for this purpose and will provide power delivery via the USB-C port while the HDMI port is simultaneously in use.

So I can connect a external camera to the apple adapter and connect a charger to it and they both work?

With this adapter, you could do what you were describing a few comments back - you could connect an HDMI cable to the TV and charge at the same time.
