According to Zoom, I'm on the Pro Plan:
It doesn't prevent me from scheduling a meeting that's several hours long.
However, when a meeting I've scheduled is actually in progress, it gets timed out after 40 minutes.
The Zoom support page (here) says:
There is no limit to how many meetings a Basic user can host; however, if you prefer to avoid a meeting timeout at 40 minutes, upgrade to a Pro account
Well, I *have* a Pro account, so what else do I need to do?
TIA
Josh

Hello,
I suspect that although you have paid for an upgraded account, you have not actually assigned the licence. Zoom does not do this part for you. You will need to act as the account admin and assign the upgraded licence to your account.
Assigning a single license
Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
Click User Management, then Users.
Locate or search for the user who you want to assign a license. (Your own account)
Click Edit at the end of the user row.
This will open a window.
Choose the User Type to assign.
After choosing the User Type, use the drop down to select the license.
Click Save.
The license is now applied and you can use it immediately.
Regards

Hi Frank TB. You gave some good hints. In my system the exact path was a bit different. Here it is Go to your account - Home - Manage users - tick on your name - click on edit. Ne window opens 'Edit User'. In this window assign the plan you have purchased. Funny that I have to do this. Why cannot Zoom do this automatically and save me the embarrassment of having my meeting cut short. But thanks Frank TB. Very helpful.

Same problem here. My PRO account meeting ended in 40 minutes. Surprising that Zoom does not upgrade after having taken the money for it. I will try the suggestion of Frank_TB and see if it works.
