How to disable waiting room while in meeting

I would like to disable the waiting room once I start the meeting but when I go into "security" the "enable waiting room" toggle is not highlighted and I'm unable to change it.

Can you confirm this is also the case when you attempt to disable the waiting room from Participants->More... ?

Yes, this is also the case when I go to Participants>More. I see the line "Enable Waiting Room" checked off but not highlighted.
