Apologies if this is blindingly obvious, but it is not clear to me whether transferring the host to someone other than the person who originally set up the meeting gives the new host access to the recording of the meeting. From how I read the documentation, it would seem not, i.e. only the original host will have access, but that seems unhelpful. We had a recent case in which the original host was sick, none of the co-hosts have access to the recording, and so the recording was unavailable until the original host returned to work. If she had transferred the host when she started the recording, would that have removed the dependency on her to gain access to the recording? Thanks.

Hello,
Your findings are correct. The original host of a meeting that is recorded will be available to that host and that host only even if alternative hosts/co-hosts are involved in the meeting. Once the recording has processed on the original's host's account, they can share it with whomever they'd like. There is no way for an alternative/co-host to access the recording on the host's account unless it is shared with them.
I hope this helps and please make sure to mark the solution as accepted if this information is what you needed.
Thank you,
Jake
