Hi,
After using zoom heavily for 1-1 coaching calls for over 6 years, I learned about something causing a breach of confidentiality and need to know how I can fix it, please.
Assume I'm on a call 10-12 with Client A.
Client B arrives to their meeting a little early at 11:55 and naturally goes into the waiting room. I see them arrive and don't admit them because I'm wrapping with Client A.
Client B sees the name of Client A rather than my logo as they would see if I weren't in with another client.
This breaches confidentiality and has happened 2x in the past couple months.
Prior to this, I had no awareness that it had ever happened. On Macbook Air running Sequoia 15.5.
Ran following tests:
In room with Client A, Client B joined and saw Client A name (because it's listed on calendar invite so I can track clients).
In same room and Client A had left. Client B logged out and logged back in. Still saw the name.
In same room, Client A had left, host (me) logged out and back in, and Client B logged out and back in and saw my logo as desired.
Goal: Until I admit any client into the room, they see my logo - the thing I set up while they're in a waiting room.
Note: THIS IS NOT ABOUT SEEING OTHERS IN THE WAITING ROOM. This is about seeing the name of the prior meeting whilst in the waiting room waiting for that prior meeting to conclude. I look forward to ideas from this community or from Zoom itself. Thank you.

Hey @EllenM12,
Thank you for sharing your concern. We just wanted to clarify about the meeting room you have going. Is it a requirement that you maintain the meeting ID? Are you open to creating new meeting rooms for each client?

THanks to all those who have replied. I would prefer to use the same id as clients have gotten used to it. Is there another option?

The safest way to prevent this is to use a different meeting link for each for each client in order to avoid any overlap. In this case it sounds like part of the problem may be that the client name is listed in the meeting title in order to keep track of calendar invites. In any events, separate links will definitely solve this. If you need help keeping track of different links for multiple clients there are Zoom app like Salepager that can do this for you.
