Audio suddenly only one channel

I use Zoom Workplace 6.2.3 on a Mac. My organization has cloud recording that is turned on for meetings.

I've reproduced this problem with 2 different computers using 3 different sound cards. When I'm in the meeting everything is fine, but the recorded video file only has sound in one channel. I'm not doing anything interesting with stereo imaging but it's annoying to have audio in one channel only when it was recorded in 2. I've double checked everything on my end - sound card, inputs etc and as I said it seems fine in the meeting and I have reproduced it on another sound card and even another laptop (all Macs tho; I don't have Windows to check). Is this a software bug being worked on? Or am I missing something obvious? Thanks.

I'm having the exact same issue and do not understand why.

Dear @proben , dear @Nebula480 ,

when recording videos of meetings to the cloud they should always only be single channel audio by default. The audio channels of all participants in the meetings will be mixed into one single mono audio channel.

If you want to have separate audio channels for every participant in the meeting, you can do the following:

  • Log into your account on the web site
  • Go to setting, go to the tab "Recording"
  • Under "Cloud Recording Setting", activate the option "Record audio-only files"
  • Now you see additional options and you can activate "Record a separate audio file of each participant" (Take note of the restrictions mentioned under the help symbol for that setting)

Dear @proben , dear @Nebula480 ,
were you able to check that? Did the response answer your questions?
