Invite Acceptance/Decline Not Being Sent from MacBook Pro

I am using a 2022 13" M2 MacBook Pro, Sonoma 14.1.2 and the Xfinity email app (browser version).   I can accept an invitation from and iOS device (MacBook, iPhone 15 or iPad Air Gen 5) and it appears on my Apple Calendar, but invitation acceptances/declines are not being sent to the meeting organizer.   How do I fix this?   Spoke with Apple Tech Support and they had no resolution.

This comes down to the scheduling all used by the meeting organizer. It would need to include an RSVP and reply function for all responses to be sent to the meeting organizer. One option available in the Zoom marketplace is Salepager that lets you send invites for your Zoom meetings with an accept or decline option with responses sent to the meeting organizer.
