About a week ago, I noticed that my Zoom meetings were no longer being stored in the Zoom app itself even though I had exported the information successfully to my iCal. I then noticed the Zoom app was saying that I had not connected a calendar. As I see on other parts of this forum, there does not seem to be support for iCal. What is worse, is that, having unsuccessfully tried to connect a calendar, I now do not seem to be able to schedule a meeting at all. Can someone in Zoom Technical please contact me urgently to talk me through what needs doing? I am writing from the UK / GMT. I also do not want to start doing a calendar in Office 365 or Google.

Following - this is a massive headache! Meetings I set up show up in google calendar within Zoom, but if I look at that same calendar on google drive, they are not there. Plus no option to send the invitation to the invitee. Feels like Zoom have taken ten steps back on this - so frustrating how remote and inaccessible the support team is...it doesn't feel as though there are any humans there at all.

I have the same problem. Up until now (for the past many years) I've had no issues. Zoom would automatically generate a calendar invite when I create a zoom. And now it doesn't. It says my ical is linked but nothing is working. HELPPPP. Does zoom want to lose all apple customers???

I am also having the seem problem, I need my meeting to appear in ical automatically. This is a nightmare and there does not appear to be any technical support.

couldn't agree more with this being a headache and a nightmare.

Zoom Admin - please help!!! Please can you support the connection between Zoom and iCal. This is a real headache and nightmare. I am considering switching to another platform if I can't get these platforms linked.

I've been on leave so I have not been exploring this any further until now. I just tried a few things. Something has improved. When I create a Zoom event it now comes up in Zoom's own calendar and this was not happening recently – the event just disappeared. Open the Zoom calendar event and scroll down to 'Description' where the info is copyable there. Another thing that works is to copy the invite to yourself using a separate email address (one I don't use for work). You can then copy the joining info from the email. It still does not automatically create an iCal event but you just have to remember to manually do one using the copied info.

Thanks for your suggestions but Im really not into making more work for myself in this day and age. If Zoom cant integrate a very commonly used platform, they will find they loose customers. Appreciate your reply. All the best.

From their support (sales eventually was the only one that you could chat with):
Hi thank you for patiently waiting, upon checking you have a pending cancellation. And as for your inquiry, Calendar integration is compatible with Google Calendar, Office 365, and Exchange. You can check our article for reference:

I am having the same issue. I had a perfectly clean system of creating a meeting and it would automatically add it to my iCal calendar and I could issue invites from there. Now it just opens up in the Zoom calendar (which I do not use), and I have to copy manually, or invite myself and then invite others, which is an extra step. I've checked my desktop and iCal is still selected as my calendar of preference. Why won't it open as it did -- only yesterday it worked fine.

Same thing happened to me: one day it was there, the next it was gone. I've been told now by Zoom Customer Service they are improving the integration with ical to bring it back. Why would they take it away completely and return it when they could just upgrade it when ready?? So crazy. I wonder if that isn't true....

Well done for getting in touch with Customer Services.
I've been using Zoom since the lock downs. I had access to Google Meets and MS Teams but I found that many of my clients were puzzled by the other platforms so I stuck with Zoom for its simplicity and ease of use. I decided to terminate the subscription as soon as it renewed last time as I am struggling to justify the outlay when I have two already paid for platforms available and which most people are now familiar with using. I still have nearly half a year of subscription left so I'd like to have good use of it and this loss of functionality and additional faff is disappointing from a company that should be trying to win back my custom.

I got some technical help and found that from the zoom app on my iPhone, we were able to reconnect iCal. Then turn off the phone and computer and it should reconnect. So it shows up on my calendar on my phone and on the computer so I can then send out invites.

Hi IanM_on_ZOOM,
I’m having a similar issue with Zoom not recognizing my connected iCal. It seems like after the recent updates, the Zoom app sometimes loses the calendar connection, even if it was previously working.
A few things that might help:
Disconnect and reconnect iCal from Zoom completely.
Make sure Zoom has the necessary permissions in your Mac/iOS calendar settings.
Sign out of Zoom and restart the app after reconnecting.
Check if there are multiple calendar accounts causing conflicts.
Hopefully one of these steps resolves it. Have you tried these yet, or noticed any error messages when reconnecting?

OK. I shall see if that works. Thanks for the suggestion. Ian
