On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Webinar Q and A setting not working

In a recent webinar, participants told us that they could see all the webinar questions, answered and unanswered. I double-checked my settings and it is set for Allow Attendees to View  > Answered Questions Only. Has this happened to other users? Is there another setting that would override this one?

Thanks,
Mary

Hi @MEGaughan12 ,

Our apologies for this incident. Let's try to find out how this happened.

Did you have confirmation from this participant such as a screenshot from their end? If so I would suggest 2 things:

  1. Check that this user wasn't a Panelist, Co-host or Alternative Host.
  2. Double check that the setting was indeed set the way you wanted for that particular Webinar.

If all checks out and you still don't know the cause for this, please reach out to our Support Team so they can investigate further. Include the Webinar's meeting ID and date as this will help them focus their search. It would be a great help if you could attach to the ticket any screenshots from the participants who saw the Q&A.

Happy Zooming!
