What does this warning mean when I turn off the AI companion?

After having a meeting attendee receive a zoom AI companion error, loose their mic, and then get kicked off the call entirely, I've decided to turn off the AI companion in my settings. When I select to disable the Meeting summary with AI Companion, I get a warning message that states, "The following settings depend on this setting, the change might affect them. IP address access control"

What does this mean and should I worry about it?

Hi @mwarner7,

Thank youfor reaching out.

When you disable Meeting summary with AI Companion in Zoom, the warning about "IP address access control" means that this AI feature is linked to certain security or access settings that may rely on it. Turning off the AI Companion could affect how IP address restrictions or controls are enforced for your meetings, potentially changing who can join or how access is managed based on IP addresses.

You should only be concerned if your organization uses IP address-based restrictions for security or compliance. If you are unsure, consult your IT administrator before making the change to avoid unintended access issues.

Hope this helps!
