Zoom_cm application download

Is it weird that I already had Zoom installed but when I went to join a new meeting recently, I clicked on the Zoom link (sent via Google calendar invite) and it automatically downloaded an application file called “Zoom_cm_XXXXXXXX” (with the X’s representing a very long string of random numbers and letters). Is this expected?

Hey @Bingb0ng our install packages are named ZoomInstaller.exe and ZoomInstallerFull.msi for Windows if in doubt, always suggest installing from https://zoom.us/download#client_4meeting

If its your first time and the link within your GCal invite for your Zoom Meeting will say something like:

Join Zoom Meeting

https://zoom.us/j/MeetinID?pwd=

After clicking on the link you'll be prompt with a new tab from your browser and you'll see

You can open Zoom.us and/or download Zoom from the suggested ways ⤴️
