Unable to accept meeting due to update

I was sent a meeting invitation and have been trying to open it to confirm the meeting, but the following is happening:

Next page that loads says:

"Sorry, you do not have the latest version of Zoom Workspace App installed.

The latest version of our application will download automatically. Kindly install it to accept the meeting invite.

If the download doesn't start automatically, please download manually.
Manual Download

Join from your browser"

The version update download starts and when I click on join from your browser nothing happens. I open the download it runs and disappears.

I checked my zoom app and it says that it is at its most up to date version. I have uninstalled and reinstalled zoom. Restarted the computer and cleared cache. I do not have a paid account. Still when I click the link it redirects me to to page saying that I don't have the latest version. When it tries to fo the install to update it stops and says there is a more recent version already installed.

I am using a windows 10 desktop.

I have tried using chrome and edge. I have also tried using my android phone and have had the same issue across the board. Fresh installs of Zoom have been done

hi @dwayneclaud

I have seen some problems with recurring meetings that are very old failing over time.

Please try a new invite to make sure your system is working as expected.

all thje best

John

It is not a recurring meeting.

What I found out was that the link the employer had sent me was not a true Zoom invite. It was a link to a piece of Malware that was trying to install on my system. A quick Google of the link and I discovered in the past 30 days others had found the same issue

I found the error. The link that was sent to me, was not an actual Zoom link. Turns out it was a piece of Malware. I googl3d the link that was sent to me and others had also identified it as Malware.
