Adding a monthly user to and existing (single user) annually paid account

Has anyone had success in adding a new monthly paid user (licensee) to an annually paid account, so that they can temporarily access (and use) the annual account for related meetings/trainings for other groups within the same organization? I've been trying to get an accurate answer to this question from the outsourced Support Group, and it's been a long and extremely frustrating experience

The short answer is no, you cannot have the same product with 2 different billing periods on the same account.
