Don't receive verification emails in time to log in

I am trying to log into my account, but it asks for the verification code to be entered, but the email either comes 10+ minutes later or not at all. By then the code has expired and is no longer valid. And so the cycle continues.

 

I can't log in to change this either so have no way of accessing my account. 

 

It is NOT in Spam, Important or All Mail. I have already checked all of them multiple times in the 10 minutes. 

 

I am using Gmail to access my emails.
