Not sure where to ask this, but: The Contacts tab in the Zoom app looks/works notably differently for me and my coworker. We both have Zoom Workplace, by the way. On my Contacts tab, the folders on the left are dropdown lists; if I click a folder it drops down a list of all the contacts in the folder, and if I click a name it populates the profile information in the center of the screen. However, on my coworker's Contacts tab, the folders on the left are selectable, instead of being dropdown lists, and if you click on a folder the center of the screen populates with a multi-column list of all the contacts in that folder. Clicking on a contact there then shows the profile information. I can't find any indication anywhere of how to switch between these two views. Where can I find that option?
I have all the Slack phone integration options enabled but there are some issues:/zoom call @user shows every number the user has registered with Slack as part of the dropdown. There should be a way to control this as the default would ideally be their extension. Using the “More call options” dropdown in a DM seems to never show an extension as an option. Again, this really should be controlled or extension should be the default. I’m trying to get to a point where it’s just as easy to use Zoom for a quick call as it is a huddle and these are the primary gaps I see.
Hello, I work for an MSP. We manage patches for our clients. I have a client who, after a recent update to Zoom version 5.14.15877, can no longer open Zoom meeting (zoommtg) links. It comes up with a prompt to choose an app from the Microsoft store. When they go to join a meeting, a new one-time installer of Zoom specific to that meeting is downloaded. I checked protocol handlers and app defaults by file extension and zoommtg was nowhere to be found. Tried to join a test meeting in the latest versions of Chrome and Firefox to no avail. Any help is greatly appreciated!
This has always worked on Zoom for me. Logged in today, and it says, "Virtual Background has been disabled, go to Meeting Settings".I went to meeting setting and enabled it, but I still receive the same message that it is disabled.Please help! (Pics attached)
In Team Chat, I have my notifications set like this:However, the Zoom icon still has a badge, and the channel is marked as unread, if people are replying to threads that I am not mentioned or involved in. Is there no way to change this behaviour? I only want a channel to be unread if there is either a new top level message, or there’s a message in a thread I’m involved in (replied to, tagged etc.) It makes it so difficult to keep track of messages that are actually relevant to me.
The Zoom intruders have are using the Raise Hand feature to disrupt our meetings by continually raising and lowering their hands, causing the boxes to jump around in gallery view. We really, really need to be able to disable raise hands in meetings, same as we can in webinars. Please give us this important security feature!
My co-host was unable to login and received the message "host cannot join the meeting." They ended up having to sign in through another account. Suggestions?
All of a sudden in last week my video and virtual backgrounds are not working on my mac (Sonoma 14.8.3). My laptop and zoom app are all up to date. I have logged out and restarted both and nothing helps. What can i do??
Hello I've been trying to port numbers away from Zoom with the PIN number provided in the Phone Section. However, my porting destination (ZohoVoice) has been reporting failures due to incorrect PIN. How can I resolve this issue? Where can I get the correct PIN for porting away from ZOOM? thanks!
Does anyone know if it is possible to change the meeting link? We have a problem with "Zoom Bombing." Pranksters joining our meetings and performing lewd acts. To solve the problem we are instigating pre-registration, but having a new link would help.
When you use Zoom what features or settings do you find most useful or important to get right? Are there particular tools or configurations that make meetings easier or more effective for you? I’m curious what others focus on when they want to get the most out of Zoom.
For the past month, my camera settings continually reset every 5 minutes, turning the video feed off each time. The settings do not change but simply reaffirm the current settings. I use an external USB camera (Logitech). I have updated to the current Zoom version and it still continues. Thanks for your input.

We are replacing our existing phone system companywide with Zoom phones. A requirement of the project that we must sync our O365 exchange address book to the Zoom Workplace Phone contacts. It seems the only way to currently do this is every user must manually download their contacts from Microsoft 365. We have tried different methods to automate this site wide which has failed. I understandable for O365 to sync admin permissions must be given and that task has been completed.If a solution can be found to automatically sync O365 exchange global address book with Phone contacts, this will be a no go with the department of over 300 phones as the upper managers will review this phone system is not working for then because they need to call up saved contacts. How do I sync O365 address book contacts into Zoom Phone contacts without having ever user forced to manually do it and continue to this process over and over again for new global contacts are added to the address book? Every time I start the zoom app, the Timer app sound defaults to "And the Winner Is".WTF??? It scares the hell out of people every time it goes off, and I need to attend to the work I am doing. Is there a way to set the default to a beep? I’m so frustrated with all the extra steps I need to do here.

I have been regularly using the Zoom timer on my Google pixel 7A phone (android version 16) for about a year without issues. Last week, I lost the ability to use the timer. Instead I receive error message "android support coming soon" when attempting to load the timer. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?
Hello, I am integrating zoom SDK for Unreal Engine, Previous I was using Zoom SDK Version 5.17 for Unreal Engine 5.3.2. It was working. I've been trying the scheduler trial and I have to say I'm perplexed. I've used Calendly for years. And for my needs, most are handled with the Zoom Scheduler version. But two things that I seem to see that are a pain: 1) I can't have a page where the person can select between a zoom meeting and in person. In calendly I can. And for my type of work, I need people to have that option. 2) It takes FOREVER for optional times to load for someone to select in the calendar!! Calendly loads optional times/the calendar within 1-2 seconds. Zoom's Scheduler takes approximately 45 seconds (at fastest so far) up to 2 minutes! For most people seeing the little "wheel of death" as we used to call it, it meant the page crashed. So I can imagine the clients closing out the page assuming it's broken when it's just trying to load. Does anyone else have this issue? I've only got 1 calendar (my ical) attached. I’m trying to create a scheduler for a sales team and set it up so clients can schedule a demo and then we assign it to a representative on the team. I’m struggling to get this set up. We use scheduler as individuals but having a calendar publicly available where customers can sign up for a demo would be helpful. I’m told it can be done but can’t find step by step instructions. Any ideas where I should be looking?
Hey there! I am hosting paid webinars this month. I want to provide some supporters a free link to attend my webinar without having to pay. I do not have Zoom Events which apparently offers an option to do this. I only the Zoom webinar and a pro account and trying to figure out a solution without needing to pay another account. I tried sending my friend the link that is generated on the calendar invite but when she clicked on it, it made her register and pay. I am accepting payment via PayPal and I do not think I can create a code to override the $10 charge. I am just a bit stumped on this and trying to provide some people a free invite to my webinar. How can I remove the feature requesting my clients to input a passcode when joining the Zoom meeting?
