How to change the default sound of the Timer app

Every time I start the zoom app, the Timer app sound defaults to "And the Winner Is".

WTF??? It scares the hell out of people every time it goes off, and I need to attend to the work I am doing. 

Is there a way to set the default to a beep? 

I’m so frustrated with all the extra steps I need to do here.

    Hello,

    There is a drop down menu at the bottom of the timer that lets you pick alarms. Beep is one of them.

    But every time I restart zoom, the sound defaults to “And the Winner is” - which is loud and startling, and I am asking how to set the DEFAULT to the beep, rather than having to reset this sound every time.

    On my computer (Mac) it defaults to whatever was the last choice. 

     

    To test this I changed the alarm and closed the Zoom application. (Version: 6.7.2 (72191)  I then reopened Zoom. When I opened the Zoom timer it remembered my last choice. Is this not the behaviour you are experiencing?

    What operating system and version of Zoom are you using?

    The default Timer sound “And the Winner Is” can be startling, particularly during work. Setting it to a soft beep or short alert can reduce interruptions. Exploring the sound options under Timer preferences or system sound settings often resolves this issue.

    For productivity and focus, customizing the Timer app sound is essential. A subtle beep works better than loud or themed sounds. Checking the Timer app’s sound selection menu can make it easier to avoid unnecessary distractions.

    Thanks for your reply. Every time I open the zoom app the timer defaults to the jarring music. That’s what I am trouble-shooting

    I resolved this issue. The timer app was being used in guest mode, I had to to sing in to zoom on my browser and enable zoom apps quick launch button (Settings > Zoom Apps > toggle Zoom Apps Quick Launch Button). I have tested it once and it appears the default now remains on the Beep. Thanks again to those who tried to help me - ​@Frank_TB and ​@Little-Josh.
