I loaned my device to someone for them to participate in a Zoom meeting. Now every time I join a meeting it shows her name and not mine. How can I permanently change my name back?
I have recently purchased the Zoom phone and got it activated. I also added a user under me who will primarily use it. But every time he tries to call, the call hangs up on its own. I don't know if I activated it wrong or something, but i need to get it fixed. Help anyone?
Will I just be able to join the zoom meeting at 7.30 pm now as I have never used zoom before xx
I have a personal account. I have updated all the screen share settings so that non-hosts can share their screens. A friend uses my account to host a weekly session I am not in. Since we’re not under the same account I can’t add her as a co-host. We’ve tried all the settings. I have to join the meeting each week and turn on settings in the meeting for her to screen share. I’ve disabled two settings to allow sharing when guests are in meetings as some of our friends may not be signed into an account. We have created a new meeting to ensure the settings take effect going forward. From everything done, my impression is that I shouldn’t need to be in the meeting. But I have to go in every week and turn it on or else she can’t share her screen.
Hi all,I recently renewed our Workplace Plus licenses and added Zoom AI Companion Plus along with a few ZRA licenses. I'm configuring the AI settings on the backend before rolling it out to everyone. One issue I've hit is I can't find a way to create a rule that prevents AI Companion from joining meetings when specific domains are invited. This comes from a number of clients who've requested that AI notetakers not join their calls. In Fireflies, I could add these domains to a blocked list that kept AI notetakers off the call. I'm trying to replicate that here.Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
We have two meetings rooms with Zoom Rooms licenses and Logitech Rally Bar & Tap IP. Both rooms are the exact same hardware, firmware, OS.The issue:When joining a Teams meeting, via the calendar invite or ad-hoc meeting the MS Teams app launches. One room joins automatically however the second room does not.It requires to click on “Join now”.Why would one room join automatically while the second rooms doesn’t.Zoom Rooms settings are set the same for both rooms (from what I compared). Same Teams meeting. Thanks
The team at Zoom have cooked up a great extra feature for contact center - the ability to bring all of your channels into one welcome screen on a website. Instead of multiple icons, we now have Welcome Screen. This means we can offer chat, video, calls, message options, plus the ability to take customer information before an interaction starts, a much cleaner experience. A lot of possibilities & this looks great as an out of the box feature.Check out the video on YouTube
How do I turn off Center Stage video setting for PC? This is the new video feature that zooms in and out on your face as you move around while your camera is on during a Zoom video meeting. There's a thread in how to fix this, which is different for Mac and PC users. For PC, it says there's a "Center Stage" video setting you have to uncheck in Zoom Video Settings, however I've looked everywhere and I don't think it exists. I've reached out to Zoom Support for help and the conclusion with them was that they have a solution for Mac users, but nothing as of now for PC. Has anyone figured this out yet? I know I'm not the only one here with this frustration...
I am facing an issue with the Zoom Whiteboard where the text inside flowchart shapes got automatically rotated by 90 degrees. This behavior started occurring recently, likely after a Zoom update, even though no manual changes were made to the orientation.Issue Details:Text within shapes appears vertically (rotated 90°) instead of horizontal The shape itself remains normal; only the text is affected Unable to reset the text orientation using standard formatting options Issue persists across sessions and boardsImpact: This is affecting usability during meetings, as the content becomes difficult to read and requires additional effort to recreate shapes or re-enter text.
# Opening Narration**"This presentation is inspired by the Indian movie *Kalki 2898 AD*—a mythological sci-fi epic that symbolizes transformation, resilience, and the power of collaboration. In the movie, heroes unite to overcome challenges and create a better future.****Our journey reflects a similar story. Similar to this topic, I would like to have dark mode on Linux. As a Linux user, I feel that the topic didn’t fully address the kind of assistance both the original poster, users, and I were hoping for. The current setup still leans heavily on light mode, which can be pretty harsh on the eyes, especially during long sessions or late-night workflows. While there are three options to tweak the top bar and meeting background, they don’t touch the Zoom background itself, which stays glaringly white. That sudden brightness spike is jarring, basically being flashbanged at 3 in the morning. So, a proper dark mode that darkens everything, not just fragments, would be a huge improvement. Including this in the theme selection or rolling it out in an upcoming Linux update would go a long way in reducing eye strain and making the experience more cohesive. Hoping this gets prioritized. Participant attends my zoom meetings 2-3x a week and receives the meeting URL and credentials via email for each session. Participant could not join the most recent zoom session stating they kept encountering a message to sign in or join via workplace app.Any tips to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance.
My organization does not want to use AI Companion and when meeting participants see the icon, they want to use it.I have disabled AI Companion by going to Account Management /Account Settings. I also disabled Meeting Summary with AI Companion and AI Companions Questions. Several community responses refer to selecting the option “Hide in Meetings toolbar.” I do not see this option. A chat with tech support and a call to Zoom - AI, not a person - did not resolve the issue.I have a Workplace Pro account and I am the account owner.
How to create a more permanent meeting ID for a meeting that has already been set up with 10 digit meeting code in 2020. This is an AA meeting and the meeting link will show up in an online schedule. It is twice a week and is using the original zoom link established in 2020. Therefore the 50 meeting limit doesn't suffice .
I have tried everything. Restarting it, reinstalling it, checking permissions, making sure no other apps are using the webcam, making sure it's up to date. The mic works fine, and the video works everywhere else but Zoom. I have a Pro, with an M2 Pro chip, and it's running on Sequoia 15.5. I thought I'd be able to get connected with an agent to help, but Zoom so kindly put their live chat feature behind a paywall. Is there anyone who experienced this problem too?
@608130 , it’s crucial to implement this feature promptly. I host daily meetings with 500 participants in large auditoriums, and the inability to adjust the font size of participants names is a major hindrance. As a result, we’re seriously considering switching to other platforms solely because of this limitation.
I have some webinars that need to be fixed. Their end date says Dec. 23, 2026, which is what I want, however, when I'm in the details tab then look at time, the occurrence(s) end date is Aug 20, 2026.
Hi everyone,I’m working on a solution to help Zoom hosts better manage chat flooding during large meetings, especially in Q&A sessions and guest speaker calls where important questions often get missed.Have you experienced challenges with fast-moving chats or missed questions in your sessions? What strategies or tools have you found effective to handle this issue? Any suggestions or feedback would be really appreciated as I develop an MVP to address this problem. Thanks in advance for your insights!
I have paid a subscription but still, it disconnects after 40 minutes.
Using external webcams on iPadOS17 is now supported. It works for Facetime. But I have not been able to get an external webcam working on my iPad for Zoom calls, despite having updated my iPad to iPadOS17. Are there settings to make this work, or perhaps use of external webcams on an iPad is not yet supported by Zoom?
Hello I had a zoom video - i trimmed but trimmed the wrong portion of the video - how do i get the original back?
Is the Translated Caption Add-On done needed to be purchased for all attendees in a meeting or is it just needed for the organiser/ presenter?
Hi AllQuestion - please can someone offer some insight?!I recorded a meeting. I have downloaded 3 files . I can edit the transcription in word no problem BUT I cannot figure out how to edit the captions on the video. All instructions say press "play" and the transcriptions will appear on left hand side, you click the pencil image and edit. BUT all I see when I press play is the recording with the captions appearing which I can turn on or off.
Short Version:Since installing Zoom by the official means failed due to an unexpected, likely RAM-related shutdown, I installed it via “sudo flatpak install us.zoom.Zoom”. However, the system still acts as if Zoom needs to be reinstalled, and no matter what I do, won’t update/upgrade other programs in System Manager or the terminal with the upgrade command because it cannot find the archive for Zoom. I want to know how I can get rid of the blockage to updates the incompletely-installed Zoom represents, whether by connecting it to an archive, deleting it, purging it, or finding a way to make the system ignore it and upgrade/update all other software.I have Timeshift snapshots, but Timeshift is not working properly, so if there’s a risk purging the Zoom files might cause major issues on my computer as a whole, I should avoid it. System/Device Information:Laptop, Linux MATE, Distro: Linux Mint 22.1 Xia base: Ubuntu 24.04 (I can give more information, if needed.)My methods to solve the pr
Subject: Bug Report: Focus leak / resource leak after ending Spotlight and Dual Monitor mode causing other apps (JW Library) to minimizeDescription: There is a chronic issue regarding Zoom Workplace's window management on Windows when using dual monitors alongside external projection software like JW Library.Steps to reproduce: Open JW Library and enable its second-screen projection mode (Exclusive Full Screen) on the secondary monitor (TV/Projector). Start a Zoom meeting on the primary monitor. Enable the Spotlight feature on a participant or move Zoom windows between monitors. Remove/cancel the Spotlight. Click on any participant who raises their hand to allow them to speak. Observed behavior: As soon as the Spotlight is removed, Zoom fails to properly release its window focus claim back to Windows (a focus/resource leak). Every subsequent action in Zoom, such as selecting a participant with a raised hand, triggers a visual status change that forces the external JW Library pr
