Macbook camera works everywhere else but Zoom

Hi @sophieuziel, thank you for reporting this issue in the Zoom Community.

I know you mentioned trying several of these steps already. To double-check a few things and rule out compatibility issues, can you please try the following:

• Test Zoom in your browser using the Zoom Web Client to see if the camera works there.
• Fully uninstall Zoom, then restart your Mac, and reinstall the Apple Silicon version of Zoom from zoom.us/download.
• After reinstalling, confirm that Zoom has camera access by going to:
  System Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera

I'm having the same problem, the camera starts and freezes immediately and won't work again unless i reboot  but it only seems to work for 1 meeting and then it does t again. I'm on Sequoia 15.3.2 and I'm upgrading to 15.7 to see if it fixes it but this is pretty rubbish as it started after I updated Zoom recently.

I’m having the same issue…. brand new MacBook is on the latest Sequoia OS version, M14 chipset.  I’ve played the install/uninstall/restart game multiple times.  Zoom.us never shows up in my System settings under Privacy and Camera… no app requesting to use Camera.  

Seems the same re: the MacBook microphone.

Same thing happens whether I’m in Workplace App or in Safari Browser… I can see and hear meetings, but I can’t participate via the camera or microphone.

Is there a way to force such a request, or to somehow change system settings to make sure such a request is accepted?
