I recently attended a Zoom call hosted by someone else. I joined as a guest, and didn't have my own Zoom account at the time/wasn't logged in. I requested permission to record the call, which the host granted, and the recording icon was present throughout the call. After the call ended, the host does not recall seeing the video converting message, and cannot find the recording locally/in the cloud. Likewise, I cannot find the recording locally, and as I say, wasn't logged in/didn't even have an account at that time. What has become of the recording, and how can we access it?Many thanks in advance!
I use the latest Debian version (5.7.6) of the Zoom client on Ubuntu 20.04. At seemingly random times (but about once or twice every day), the Zoom application starts by itself without any intervention on my part. This happens while the application was previously shut down (i.e. not just minimized). This has been happening ever since I used Zoom on Linux, in all versions of the client, three different computers and at least two versions of Ubuntu (18.04 and 20.04). I tried searching whether some cron job or something else would cause Zoom to start, but did not find anything. The last time Zoom started by itself, I used htop to see what its parent process was (see attached screenshot), but did not get very far (parent process is /sbin/init). My two questions are: Could you explain what is starting Zoom? Could you tell me how to stop it from doing this? Best, Sylvain
I have two Zoom accounts I log into and switch between. One is work, the other is personal - they have different avatar images so I can tell them apart. If someone from my company and I are logging into the same meeting that someone ELSE sent the link for, I have to log in through my personal account so that my colleague and I are using different accounts to enter the meeting to avoid connectivity issues. I used to be able to simply "switch accounts" to the one I needed to use without needing to fully log out and then back in. Now, regardless of which account I appear to have switched to via the computer app, when I initiate the Zoom, I enter the meeting under my work account. Interestingly, if I'm in the waiting room, my avatar shows me as entering via my personal account, but once I'm actually IN the meeting, I'm in as my work account. All other functions switch appropriately when I switch accounts without actually logging out. It's just
Is there a way to retrieve a chat after I have left the meeting and the meeting has been closed?

Where do I find the Video Effects button so I can turn it off!!!
I'm techno challenged and very basic. I teach quilting and occasionally do zoom classes. Previously, I used my laptop with document camera for one area, but then I had to join from my iPhone camera which was positioned over my sewing machine in another part of the room. It worked fine. Recently, I was doing a class, and when I went to sign in from the iPhone camera, I was knocked out of the meeting and couldn't get back in on my computer, and had to try to finish the class holding the iPhone in my hand while trying to sew. I guess something has changed. I did look up and follow the instructions in the settings - changing to allowing up to 3 devices, but it says of the same type. I need a computer for my dox camera and then my phone for over the sewing machine at the same time. I do not have a young person available to help me.Can someone please help me - in plain, old people language?? LOL. It's probably something super simple that
I will be sharing a Zoom link via Outlook calendar. Several parties will join the meeting. It is important that for one of them their email address is not visible either in the calendar invite or during the meeting. Does this happen automatically? As owner and scheduler of the meeting, am I the only person who can see others' email addresses?
Hi Recently when I Zoom my face appears very red like I have HBP and really bad too! But I don't and it does not appear like that in reality. Is there any way to control that? I had a paid account, but since I don't use zoom that much i discontinued that. I wish there was a solution. Your help is appreciated
I use ZOOM on two devices: my iphone and MacBook Pro. Everything works well on both except for the audio on my macbook. I have the latest updated software ob both but i only face audio problems on the macbook. what could be the reason for it?
I hosted a meeting last week and I remember saying to myself, "Oh I need to record this" but then I looked at the top right corner and it had the red circle and said "Recording". Of course now I can't find the recording, in the cloud recordings or locally. I checked all over my Zoom account for it - deleted files, etc. No sign of it. Is there anywhere else this could be? I asked the other presenters but they don't have it. What happened?
I have spent many hours over the past two days trying to resolve a serious issue with the Zoom Waiting Room function. Despite following every single step provided by Zoom Support (including enabling the Waiting Room at the account level, locking the setting, reinstalling the app, clearing the Zoom folder, etc.), the issue not only remains but has gotten worse. Now, even when a client joins the meeting, I no longer receive any notification via Zoom or email. I’ve tested this repeatedly using different devices, including my iPhone. No matter whether I join first or let the client join first, there is no sign that someone is waiting to be admitted. The Zoom app window doesn’t show any participants waiting, and I get no email alert. This has made it impossible for me to admit clients to meetings, and I risk losing them because of this. I’ve invested in Zoom for years to support my psychotherapy practice, but this issue is seriously impacting my work. Is there anyone who has

Hello, Is there a way to run reports on Sentiment - across queues for example. We're being asked to investigate this and so far I can't find anything at all. I want to be careful that I am not missing something. Thanks in advance
I have a virtual class when classmates are signed on and enter the meeting we are all displayed in a grid formation. The teacher is always top upper left, (on my screen) I am always situated next to him. I never move down into the grid, switch rows, move further left or right etc. other classmates seem to bounce around in their placement. But I always occupy the position next to the teacher. What are the dynamics going on here? Do others see a similar placement on their screens? Does what I see and static placement have to do with my settings? Is the teacher controlling this?
I have encountered about 2 black boxes appearing in my presentation during screen sharing since Jan 2022. One blackbox appeared near the top and the other at the bottom. My laptop uses Windows 10 and I have updated the latest software. I have done all the hacks recommended in the Zoom web page, including changing the NVIDIA settings, video settings and screen sharing settings. Yet, I still have the same problem with the black boxes. Please help to resolve this problem. Thank you!
Hi, Our zoom phone system went live last week, so we are still in adjustment period. Several users have mentioned that if they are typing in a document/email etc. and then receive an incoming phone call, Zoom "steals" the keyboard and they have to click back into their other application to continue to type. We tried turning off keyboard shortcuts user by user and testing some incoming calls but that had no effect - typing was still interrupted each time a call popped up on screen. Does anyone know if this is a setting that we can turn off? Or just a minor annoyance we have to deal with? Thanks!-Lauren
I would like to create a plugin on Zoom to integrate with my SAAS application. But, I could not find API interfaces. Anyone can help on that?
Is there a way to not have my image become large and in charge when I talk during a meeting? I would feel much more comfortable if just my tile was highlighted.
Is there a way to get some webinar-like results using the most economical meeting plan? We are an HOA association and we are contemplating using Zoom Meetings for our Trustee meetings in a way that the residents can observe and remain muted. Ideally, I would like two invitation links… one that forces muting for the residents and one for the Trustees that does not. However, it looks like a meeting can be setup in a way that everyone or noone get the extra permission-to-unmute question popup upon entering the meeting. Am I interpreting that correctly? I would like that the Trustee host doesn't have to specifically unmute the other trustees. I would also like that the audience members joining the meetings do not distract from the meeting. Oh, and the Trustees will sometimes be in a conference room. We can dedicate one laptop to the "room". p.s. newbie… have only used Zoom a
I have a macbook Air running Sonoma 14.6.1. The Facetime HD camera at the top of the screen when running a meeting has three settings under it: Portrait, Studio Light and Reactions. Other people I know have an addtional setting BACKGROUND which has virtual backgrounds that are seemless unlike the standard zoom backgrounds. Does anyone know why I do not have that option or where I could go to get it? Is it the operating system or the zoom? or a setting I missed? Thanks
Hello,I’ve recently noticed that Zoom has been running much slower than usual.Could you please help identify the possible causes and suggest any ways to resolve this issue? One recent change on my end is that I switched from an annual subscription to a monthly subscription this October.I would appreciate it if you could also check whether this change might have affected the performance.Thank you in advance for your assistance. MacBook Air 2025 with latest download for Apple Chip is frequently freezing the video both on hosting and not hosting, audio continues fine, some attendees hear an echo. Had uninstalled and reinstalled including rebooting before re-install.
I have auto framing off on my macbook and it continues to track my head during meetings. I would like for this feature to be off permanently.
